Terms, licence
and refunds.

Refunds
Thirty days, no questions asked. If a FarField plug-in is not what you wanted, request a refund from your account or email support@farfieldaudio.com within thirty days of your purchase and we will refund it in full. You do not have to say why.
Send the email from the address you bought with, or include the receipt. Refunds go back to your original payment method; the time they take to appear depends on that method and its provider. When a purchase is refunded, the licence ends and the download stops working.
After thirty days we will still look at anything that is actually broken. If a plug-in does not work as this site describes and we cannot fix it for you, ask for your money back and you will get it.
Licence
Buying a FarField plug-in gives you a permanent, non-exclusive licence to use it.
What you may do
- Install and activate it on every computer that is yours, including a desktop and a laptop, with no device limit.
- Use it on as many projects as you like, for work or for love. Anything you make with it is yours. We claim nothing in your music and ask for no credit.
- Keep using the version you have, for as long as it runs, whatever happens to us.
- Download every future update to what you own, free, from your account.
What you may not do
- Share, resell, sublicense or redistribute the installer or the plug-in files.
- Give your account access to somebody else so they can download with it.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the software, except where the law says you may do so regardless of this paragraph.
- Remove or alter the licence and attribution notices that ship with it.
Paid plugins require activation through your purchase account. During the first thirty days after payment, each computer must connect at least every seven days; the temporary offline allowance ends at the thirty-day boundary. One final online check after that boundary grants permanent offline use on that computer, provided the purchase remains valid and there is no unresolved refund request or payment dispute. A pending case keeps temporary checks in place until resolved. A new computer needs its own activation.
A refund during the temporary period removes processing access at a successful licence check, or when the cached allowance expires. An already-running playthrough or render finishes before processing is bypassed; new playback requires a valid licence. Presets and project settings are preserved, and inactive plugins pass audio through. Once a permanent offline licence has been issued, it cannot be remotely disabled; this does not change the requirement to stop using refunded software. MATCH is free and requires no activation.
If you are buying for a studio or a company, each person who uses the software needs their own licence. Email us for more than five and we will work something out.
What you are buying, and how it arrives
These are digital downloads. There is nothing to ship. Create an account and verify your email before buying. After payment, the download is available immediately on the confirmation page and from your account afterwards.
Base prices are in US dollars. Checkout may show your local currency and shows any tax collected with your order before you pay. Payment is processed by Stripe; for Managed Payments orders, Link is identified at checkout as the merchant of record. We never see or store your card details.
Current requirements: Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) or macOS 10.15 or later (Apple silicon and Intel), and a DAW that hosts VST3 plug-ins (Audio Units on a Mac too). A standalone application is included. Each product page has listening examples you can play before buying, and the refund policy is there if a plug-in does not suit your setup.
Warranty and liability
We make this software as carefully as we know how, and we test it, but no software is perfect. It is provided as it is, without any warranty beyond the rights your local consumer law gives you, and nothing here limits those rights.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim arising from the software or this licence is limited to what you paid for it. Keep backups of your projects, as you would with any software.
Changes and disputes
We may update these terms for future purchases. The terms that apply to you are the ones published on the day you bought, and we will keep a copy if you ask for it.
These terms are governed by the law of the province and country in which FarField Audio is registered, without affecting any protection you have under the consumer law where you live.
Third-party components included in the software carry their own licences, listed in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md in the download.
