The 280 Hz build-up clears and the vocal steps forward; the whole song comes up to a finished level.

How this example was made

From the Master Rack film: an unmastered song, rough-mixed at about −20 LUFS with a little too much 280 Hz and a soft top. Before is that mix; After is Listen’s recommended direction (Competitive), with the Sculpt high shelf then raised by hand, as in the film. The After plays at the level Master Rack delivered it; switch on Match listening levels to hear the tone and dynamics alone.

After plays at the delivered level. Turn on Match listening levels to compare tone and dynamics.

What you can do

Inside Master Rack.

Twelve modules

Reorder ten stages, with Ceiling and Monitor at the end; every module also runs as a separate plug-in.

Listen and compare

Render three options on your audio, then audition them or let Auto apply choose the recommended safe result.

Make room between tracks

Feed Carve a priority track through the sidechain to reduce overlapping frequencies.

Hear each change

Compare with A/B, bypass, Mix and Delta; Gain Link balances the input and output trims.

Finish and check

Set true peaks and loudness in Ceiling, then check headphones and other playback balances in Monitor.

A first pass

Start with what you hear.

  1. Play your mix

  2. Listen and review

  3. Refine, then finish

Questions

About Master Rack.

What does the US$50 introductory Mix Suite include?

Master Rack and all twelve modules as individual plug-ins and standalone apps. Spaces is included.

Can Listen master my mix automatically?

Yes. Listen analyses your mix and renders three processing directions. Auto apply can apply the recommended safe result. Switch it off to review before applying, change every setting, and use Undo to restore the previous setup.

Which formats are available?

Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit), and macOS 10.15 or later on Apple silicon and Intel. Both have VST3 for your DAW and a standalone application, and the Mac installer adds Audio Units. One purchase covers both platforms: download whichever installer you need from your account.

How do updates work?

Updates are free for as long as we make them. Sign in at your account with the email address you bought with and download the current version. Installing it replaces the plug-in in place, so your presets and existing projects are untouched.

Can I hear it before I buy?

Yes. Every module has a before-and-after example on its page. If you buy and it isn't for you, email us within thirty days for a full refund, no questions asked. See terms and refunds.
